All of this stuff is pretty procedural. All FOH needs to get their TAPs card here. They have online appointments, and as a CHARR member the discounted price is $40. All staff will need to have an updated Food Handlers Card that is valid in Alaska.

We pay competitive wages, and strict tip out procedures through Tiphaus, our automated tip-out system Our tips are based on sales, so support and BOH staff will be automatically tipped out based on sales percentage distributed via payroll.
Flamingo has a strict season, and all hired employees must be available for the duration of the season. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, we plan to run with a set schedule. We firmly believe in being able to have a life outside of the 4 walls so the schedules will be set. Meaning if you need time off from Memorial Day to Labor Day to work it out amongst yourselves to get your shifts covered through our internal scheduling communication.
At this time, we do not provide employee housing. Employees must secure their own seasonal housing in Seward. Please search the Seward Housing Facebook page for leads.
Flamingo has a SIMPLE IRA benefit for all eligible employees. For any employee (seasonal or otherwise) who have made more than $5K in the previous two tax years are eligible for a 3% employer matched retirement.
We also added an opt-in healthcare plan through SALA insurance. Flamingo covers 100% of the Essential Plan for full-time employees (4 days a week / 30+ hours a week), and then the employee is responsible for their IUA contributions, based on their age and selection.
